  • Smelling better! Your sense of smell returns and you smell better to other people without all that stale tobacco on your clothes, in your hair, and on your breath

What's Stopping You?

It's easier than you might think!

Although 1 in 2 people used to smoke, an enormous number are giving up - 240,000 a year (over 600 a day). It's not possible for that number to be so high without a significant number finding it easy to do. So why do some of us find it difficult?

Where's The Harm?

Smoking is still the greatest single cause of illness and premature death in the UK. That's more than the next six put together.
Over the last 50 years, six million Britons have died from tobacco-related diseases, three million of whom died in middle age (15-69) losing, on average, 20 years of life.
Second-hand smoke in the home causes around 11,000 deaths in the UK each year from lung cancer, stroke and ischaemic heart disease.
Smoking during pregnancy increases the risk of spontaneous abortion, preterm birth, low birth weight and stillbirth.
One in two smokers will be killed eventually by their smoking habit, half of those in middle age.

Childrens' Views....

73% of children whose parents smoke worry about their parents dying. In order to get their parents to quit, over half ( 59%) would give up their pocket moneyl and 7 out of ten would commit to doing their homework every night (78%) and going to bed when told (76%).

But It Relaxes Me!

Really? Nicotine is a strong stimulant. How relaxing is that?

Whether you have been a smoker for years or only an occasional user- the "social smoker"-you may have all sorts of "reasons" why you continue to smoke. We are really adept at rationalising behaviours that we know to be unhealthy and bad for us -so we continue to do them. That urge to smoke is more about what's going on in your mind than a physical response- and that is where hypnotherapy can really help.

Studies all over the world have concluded that hypnosis is the most effective therapy around for anti-smoking.  The New Scientist reports, "Hypnosis is the most effective way of giving up smoking, according to the largest ever scientific comparison of ways of breaking the habit.  Willpower, it turns out, counts for very little."
The solution-focused hypnotherapy approach to stopping smoking is very comprehensive and thorough- with a two hour session helping you to leave this habit behind NOW-without any negative effects at all, and without the need for patches, gum or other forms of  nicotine - replacement medication.
Because smoking is a habit, it is controlled by the unconscious mind. Since hypnosis works directly with the unconscious, this is the only method that makes sense!
