About Susan

With 30 years' experience in the healthcare sector, Susan trained and worked in psychiatric, general, and intensive therapy nursing in Birmingham and London.
She later became a Health Visitor working
in South London.

In addition she worked as a healthcare lecturer and NHS Senior Manager before moving into healthcare sales and business development in 2000. In this area she worked in increasingly senior positions - managing sales teams and developing commercial business strategy both in the UK and internationally.

Meanwhile maintaining her nursing registration via hands-on nursing and Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Susan was also a Nursing
Officer within the Royal Naval Reserve (QARNNS (R)) for a number of years.

Always keen to develop herself, she is
now studying for a Master's Degree in
Applied Psychology.
Wanting to move
back in to a more client - centered
healthcare career coupled with the ability
to utilise her skill sets in a new, positive way, she discovered Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy and trained as a hypnotherapist at the prestigious Clifton Practice in Bristol.

She now uses her healthcare experience, management and strategy skills gained over the years in combination with techniques taken from Solution Focused Brief Therapy, CBT, NLP and hypnosis to design a therapy programme aimed at helping people to find solutions and reach their goals in as short a time as possible.


Professional Certification, Associations and Professional Bodies

  • Susan is registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • She is a member of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN), the Community Practitioners and Health Visitors Association (CPHVA) and is an Associate member of the Royal Society of Medicine (RSM).
  • Susan holds the Hypnotherapy Practitioners Diploma from the Clifton Practice (CPHT) and is a certified HypnoBirthing (R) practitioner.
  • A member of the Association for Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH), Susan also works as their Marketing Officer and sits on the AfSFH Executive Committee.
  • Susan is also a member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH), The Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy (APHP), the General Hypnotherapy Register, Hypnotherapy Society and National Council of Psychotherapists.

Susan maintains full Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance.
