When food becomes an issue

There is a complex relationship between food, eating behaviour, and other psychological issues including anxiety, depression, even OCD and control. It's not always about weight and food that leads to eating disorders- in fact, it rarely is.

By helping the individual to change their relationship with food and eating, hypnotherapy helps improve confidence and self esteem. This will then reduce anxieties and help them feel more relaxed around food, which in turn can make a massive improvement in quality of life.

I have many years of experience in this area and through my programmes I can support women and men with eating issues including Bulimia, Anorexia, Binge Eating Disorder and Body Dysmorphia.

Parents and Carers of young people who have Anorexia, for example, may also like to come to a hypnotherapist for sessions themselves, as management of their anxiety around this can help in the recovery process.
